Drs. Chambers & Vaughan Recognized for Excellence in Research

On Tuesday, January 28, 2020, the Research Recognition Ceremony for Academic Years 2017-18 and 2018-19 was celebrated at the LITE center in Lafayette, LA. Top research faculty from all colleges at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette were recognized for their research, including two in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Terry Chambers and Dr. Joshua Vaughan

Dr. Chambers received the Research Excellence award for the 2017-2018 Academic Year, commending his exceptional scholarship within the College of Engineering. He is known for his work in sustainable energy and his role as director for the Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Energy Center

Dr. Vaughan received the Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor award for the 2017-2018 Academic Year, applauding his extraordinary commitment to undergraduate students and their advancement as researchers. He is known for his work in controls, robotics, and automation which is showcased in the work done in the C.R.A.W. LAB
