CELLINK Brings Bioprinter to UL

CELLINK, a bioprinting company, came to Rougeou Hall on Monday, October 22nd to give a workshop on their bioinks and bioprinters. They specialize in easy-to-use printers for bioink to create tissue and organs and ultimately minimize the need for animal testing.

        

The company started in 2016 and has been rapidly growing since, with locations worldwide. The newest model bioprinter, BIO X, was demoed for Mechanical Engineering faculty and students. Students used the printer to create an ear using one of their bioinks. For more information, please visit their website
